Oreos and Candy Cane Chocolate Bark

Easy no-bake for teaching GB girls. 




Christmas Camp Modified Recipe 

600 gram dark chocolate chips or bar

1 pack of Oreo Cookies crushed 

1 pack of mixed chocolates sprinkles 

1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract or dash of Christmas flavour like Cinnamon or Chocolate or leave out

60 gram(1/3 cup) white baking chips - optional to sprinkle on top

2 candy canes, crushed - optional to put as sprinkle on top


Tried Recipe 

600 gram dark chocolate chips or bar

10 candy cane or chocolate mint creme Oreo cookies, split and chopped

1/3 cup white baking chips - optional to sprinkle on top

1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract - optional

2 candy canes, crushed - can replace with mixed chocolate sprinkle


Notes :-
1 Ounce Chocolate is about 30 gram
10 Ounces Chocolate is about 283 gram

Ingredients

2 packages (10 ounces each) dark chocolate chips

10 candy cane or chocolate mint creme Oreo cookies, split and chopped

1/3 cup white baking chips - optional to sprinkle on top

1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract

2 candy canes, crushed


Directions

  1. Line a 15x10x1-in. baking pan with parchment.
  2. In the top of a double boiler or a metal bowl over hot water, melt dark chocolate; stir until smooth. Remove from heat. 
  3. Stir in cookies; spread over prepared pan.
  4. Microwave or double boil to melt white baking chips on high until melted, stirring every 30 seconds. 
  5. Stir in extract. Drizzle over dark chocolate mixture; sprinkle with crushed candy canes. 
  6. Cool. Refrigerate until set, about 1 hour. 
  7. Break into pieces. Store in an airtight container
