Nutty Crispy Florentine

The magic of this sweet nutty crispy is Florentine. What is Florentine? I guess it is a sweet syrup binding the nuts as it melts under heat. 



Nutty Crispy Florentine


Ingredients:

  • 500gm Florentine Mix
  • 1kg nuts & seed(mixed)

Method:

  1. Line the baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Using sifter, spread the Florentine Mix on baking tray evenly.
  3. Spread the nuts and seeds evenly on top
  4. Spread some Florentine Mix on top the nuts and seeds.
  5. Preheat oven to 170 C and bake for 8-12 minutes until its turns golden brown.
  6. Cut into square while hot

Another recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500gm Bienex florentine mix
  • 250gm almond slice
  • 500gm green pumpkin seeds
  • 500gm sunflower seeds
  • 1 pcs silicon paper

Method:

  1. Line baking tray with silicon paper.
  2. Mix all ingredients together.
  3. Spread a thin layer of mixture onto baking tray evenly. Bake at 190°C for 9 minutes or until golden brown. Baking time may vary depending on individual oven and the thickness of the almond brittle, adjust accordingly.
  4. Cut right after they come out from the oven. The brittle will shatter easily once cool.
  5. Store immediately in airtight container after cooled.
